In-Year Admissions (Reception to Year 6)

Hermitage Primary School is its own Admissions Authority, which means you can apply directly to us for places in Nursery and Years 1 to 6.

We work closely with the Hillingdon Admissions Team, who notify us of any applications where Hermitage has been listed as a preferred choice.

We currently have spaces in Year 1 only. All other year groups have a waiting list.

Nursery Admissions

Hermitage Primary School manages its own nursery admissions. Children can start in our nursery from the term after their third birthday, subject to available places. Parents may register their child from birth.

We currently have spaces for both morning and afternoon sessions.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted throughout the school year. Once an application is received, the school will contact parents at the earliest opportunity regarding available spaces.
Parents may request a:

• Morning session: 8.30am – 11.30am

• Afternoon session: 12.15pm – 3.15pm

Waiting List

If a nursery place is not immediately available, parents may join our waiting list. Families will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available.

Important Information

• Please note that Nursery admissions are managed separately from Primary School admissions.
• Securing a Nursery place does not guarantee a place in Reception.
• Parents must submit a separate Reception application through Hillingdon Council.

Even if your child is currently at Hermitage Nursery, you must apply directly to Hillingdon Council for a place in Reception.  For a guide on how to apply, please click here.

Important Dates for Reception Admissions

Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 are eligible to apply for a reception place. Applications are made through Hillingdon council using the e-admissions website. 

• Thursday 15th January 2026 – Application Deadline

• Thursday 15th January 2026 (Midnight) – Online Application Deadline

• Thursday 16th April 2026 – Offer Day

• Thursday 30th April 2026 – Acceptance Deadline

• Thursday 14th May 2026 – Appeals Deadline
