School uniform plays an important role in creating a strong sense of pride, belonging and community at Hermitage. It helps pupils feel part of our school family while promoting a smart, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Having a clear and consistent uniform also helps to reduce the pressure on pupils to decide what to wear or to feel they need to follow particular fashions or trends.
At Hermitage, we aim to keep our uniform simple, practical and affordable for families. The only branded item required is our school jumper, featuring the Hermitage logo. All other uniform items can be purchased from a retailer of your choice, provided they meet our school uniform requirements.
Our main uniform consists of a white polo shirt, grey trousers, skirt or dress, and sensible black school shoes or trainers. Footwear should be completely black, with no coloured detailing, embellishments or prominent logos.
Pre-loved uniform is available to purchase at the school, so please ask the school office for further information about this.
We understand that the cost of living crisis impacts many in our school community, and we are committed to ensuring every child has what they need to thrive at school. If you require support in providing school essentials for your child, please don’t hesitate to speak with a member of staff or our Assistant Headteacher, Mrs. Harling.
